Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of Presskit, including artist websites, Press Kits, uploads, subscriptions, and account tools.
Agreement and account eligibility
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. To create or control a paid Presskit account, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live and legally able to enter into this agreement.
If the artist is a minor, the account must be created and controlled by a parent, legal guardian, or other adult representative who is authorized to act for the artist, accepts these terms, and is responsible for the account. If you use Presskit for an artist, company, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for it.
You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials, and activity performed through your account. You must promptly update information that is no longer accurate.
Monthly subscriptions and billing
Paid Presskit plans are recurring monthly subscriptions at the price shown on the pricing page and in Stripe Checkout when the purchase is made. The subscription renews each month until it is canceled. Stripe processes payments and stores the payment method; Presskit stores the related customer and subscription identifiers, plan, and status.
Artists with a Stripe billing account can open the Stripe Customer Portal from the Account tab to review billing details and manage the subscription. A failed payment or a subscription status that is no longer active may make the Presskit site inactive.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel through the Stripe Customer Portal. The portal displays when the cancellation takes effect under the billing configuration applicable to the subscription. Deleting a Presskit account instead cancels an active subscription immediately.
Canceling does not automatically refund charges already paid. Presskit does not currently provide an automated refund process. Any refund rights required by applicable law, or expressly stated during purchase, remain unaffected.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Presskit. You grant Presskit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited license to host, store, reproduce, cache, transmit, distribute, serve, publicly display, resize, format, and otherwise technically process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and provide the service, your public artist site, and your generated Press Kit and PDF. Presskit may permit its service providers to perform those operations only on Presskit's behalf for the same limited purposes. Presskit does not acquire ownership of your content and does not have the right to sell or independently license it.
You represent and warrant that you own your submitted content or have all permissions, licenses, and rights required to upload it and authorize Presskit to use it as described in these terms. This includes logos, photographs, artwork, show flyers, press-kit documents, names, biographies, captions, branding, and related artist content.
When you add a music, video, or social link from Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, or another third-party service, you authorize Presskit to store the link and display the provider's link or embedded player. The underlying third-party-hosted media remains subject to the rights of its owner and the provider's terms; Presskit does not claim ownership of it.
You must not upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or that violates applicable law.
This license lasts only while the content is stored, published, or reasonably needed to provide the service, plus the limited technical period needed for cache expiration, backups, deletion cleanup, security, or legal obligations. Removing content or deleting an account ends the license for live product use, subject to those limited residual copies and obligations.
Prohibited use
You must not use Presskit to upload or publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or malicious content; impersonate another person or artist without authorization; distribute malware; probe or bypass security or access controls; interfere with the service; send spam; or use the service in a way that violates another person's privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights.
Copyright complaints
Presskit may remove or disable access to content alleged to infringe copyright, notify the affected account holder, and take other appropriate action. In appropriate circumstances, Presskit may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
Presskit will publish its notice and counter-notification instructions and designated copyright contact before activating the public Copyright and DMCA page.
Service changes and account action
Presskit may modify or discontinue features and may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address nonpayment, enforce these terms, or prevent harm. Suspension or an inactive billing status may make the public site or editor unavailable.
Suspension or termination may disable public access to account content. It does not promise instantaneous erasure from provider caches, backups, logs, or pending media-cleanup work; the deletion and residual-retention rules below continue to apply.
Account deletion
The authenticated Delete account control permanently removes the site and its primary Presskit data, immediately cancels any active subscription, revokes the current session, and starts deletion of tenant-uploaded media. This action cannot be undone. Limited billing records, security records, service logs, backups, or media-cleanup records may remain where needed to complete deletion, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, or follow a service provider's retention practices.
Third-party services
Presskit relies on third-party services for infrastructure, payments, media delivery, analytics, email delivery, and embedded media. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Presskit is not responsible for third-party sites or content linked from artist pages.
Privacy
Presskit's Privacy Policy describes how account, artist-content, billing, analytics, error, and visitor-inquiry information is processed. The policy is made public only when a monitored privacy-request contact is configured.
